Casa Grande Ruins, Arizona

For my birthday this year, Bonnie and I decided to take a trip to see the Casa Grande Ruins in Coolidge Arizona ~ about 75 miles northwest of here.  The weather was perfect, as it usually is in October, and we had a great day.  If you would like to know more about these ruins, click here to see the National Park Service's Casa Grande webpage.

Our chariot for the trip north.	On the drive up to the ruins, we got a great view of Picacho Peak.	We're there.	I didn't realize the ruins were a National Park.  Because of this, I was able to use my senior pass and get free admission for both of us!  :)	There's a small museum between the front entrance and the ruins.
	An outstanding petrograph of a bighorn sheep.	The next 6 pictures were taken of the outside of the main structure.
			The next 8 pictures were taken of the inside of the main structure.
	The next 5 pictures are of other ruins around the grounds
	You've heard of tree huggers!  How about a "saguaro cactus skeleton hugger"?  :)	These large saguaros looked to us like sentries guarding the ruins.
