Bonnie & Bill Mullin's Mexico & Hawaii Cruise
Hilo, Hawaii, December 2, 2015

Hilo gets about 140 inches of rain a year and rain is what we got for our visit.  We certainly enjoyed seeing Hilo, but would have been happier if the weather had been better.

Speaking about problems with Mother Nature, all of the Hawaiian islands have active volcanoes, a constant threat of tsunamis, high humidity, a very high cost of living and they are even starting to have problems with kudzu.  Although the Hawaiian islands are beautiful and fun to visit, I'd have to pass on ever living there permanently!
