Mallorca

Bill had actually spent a week in Mallorca back in 1979.  From his hotel he had this view of a HUGE church, but unfortunately it was closed to the public for repairs.  This time it was open!  We took a driving tour of the mountains overlooking the city, then stopped off in Palma for about an hour, then wound up with a guided tour of the church.  Click here for more information on the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma.

We're in Palma.	According to our guide this olive tree is supposed to be about 1,000 years old.	It actually looks like it might be 1,000 years old!
The remainder of the pictures are all of the Santa Maria of Palma church.	Construction began in 1229 AD and was completed in 1601 AD, I guess they weren't in a hurry!  :)
